Tutorial to reset factory of mag 250/254
Step 1: Entering in the BIOS menu
- Power off the MAG IPTV box, and disconnect it from the power.
- Press and hold the Menu button on Remote Control. Without releasing the Menu button reconnect the power to the MAG IPTV box.
Within seconds the light blue BIOS screen of the MAG IPTV box will appear
You can now release Menu button when BIOS is loaded
Step 2: Go to default setting
First, Scroll down to Def. Settings. Then, press the Right Arrow to select Default Settings and confirm Default Settings by pressing the OK.
Select Exit & Save then your MAG IPTV box will reboot automatically.
That is all.
However, depending on your connection and your setup you might need to change a few other thing. Sometimes the box may get stuck on TFTP Load. This is normal as the “boot mode is not correct”, so if you have this error please follow those step
First, Disconnect power and Press and hold menu button on remote, Reapply power and you will see Bios screen appears
Then, Choose Boot Mode and press right to select NAND2
Finally, Choose Exit and save, and choose OK
NAND is loading on your mag box, then loads into the default screen, and here you can check for new software and downloads new software
The MAG IPTV box reboots into the default page.
If it still does not work you can change the Boot mode to DHCP and reproduce all steps above.
